Technically, you can kill him even faster than this, but the problem with this boss compared to the other bosses is that he does not have a predictable combat pattern.  He doesn't always start off with the same thing at the start of the fight.  He may just run away and do his yelling thing where he summons his two antenna "things".  It's just luck of the draw. :)
