NaiLiK is the psytrance project of Kilian Johnson, the 22 year old Canadian psytrance artist signed with the Japanese label, Grasshopper records. He started his project back in 2011 as he slowly taught himself music production, by 2013 his project was noticed and supported by fellow Grasshopper Records label mate, K.I.M. Shortly after joining the label at the end of 2013, he made his first release. Since his first release on the VA "Onkalo", he has made many releases, on some of the top labels internationally including labels such as Grasshopper records, TechSafari records, Digital Om, Antu, Blacklite, and Green Tree records. NaiLiKs first EP, titled "Blind to Frequency", was a massive success reaching the top 5 position on the Beatport psytrance charts. NaiLiK continues to evolve his sound, along with his production skills with more time and different experiences, playing in various countries around the globe. He has had the chance to play at festivals and gigs such as Jungala Festival, Easter Vortex and Altered States on his visits to South Africa in 2016 and 2017. Genten-Kaiki Festival and Club AgeHa on his first Japan tour in 2016, as well as several visits in various states in the USA. In his home country, Canada, he can been seen rocking parties such as Eclipse festival 2016 & 2017, St jean Basstiste, Timeless Festival, as well as the Orion NYE party to name a few. His recent work includes collaborations with top artists, as well as making a compilation for Grasshopper Records, titled "Blast Sequence" at the end of 2017. NaiLiK has big plans for 2018 as he will release several EPs and singles on different labels, so keep a look out for the new music and updates!
