1 July 2014. The 17310 Vasco da Gama - Yesvantpur Express tackles the roller-coaster-like gradients outside Birur with twin WDG3As from Gooty in the lead. These locos are fitted with AEB(Auto Emergency Brakes) and are usually found working trains in the Braganza Ghats. In the lead is 14659 with EMD horns, probably from a WDG4, and 14554 'Baldie' trailing. Shiny repaint on the 14554!
