Energy Minister On Backpay For Former Petrotrin Workers

In the Senate on Tuesday, the Energy Minister gave a commitment that outstanding backpay owed to former Petrotrin employees will be disbursed in the near future. His reassurance comes following a protest staged by former temporary workers of the now-defunct company on Monday, calling for monies owed to be paid. Minister Franklin Khan said the calculations for the one thousand and sixty workers are ongoing. Minister Khan denied that there were any outstanding severance payments to be made.
