Ford’s Theatre has a daunting history that touches every actor and every audience member who plays or visits there.  The shadow of Lincoln’s assassination is still felt 150 years later.

April 2015 marks the 150th anniversary of the assassination of Abraham Lincoln at Ford’s Theatre. In honor of the historical milestone, Ovation proudly presents Ford's Theatre: America's Playhouse, an in-depth look at the theater’s earliest beginnings, where it is now, and its goals for the future. 

Using rare footage, photographs and interviews with historians, as well as directors and actors from the theater itself, Ford's Theatre: America’s Playhouse takes viewers on a journey that spans over a century.
