Lymphatic filariasis sufferers know the pain, disfigurement, and social stigma that accompany this tropical disease that affects the poorest of the poor. But now that The Carter Center and partners have stopped LF from spreading in two states in Nigeria, the program of prevention is on track to eliminate this disabling disease from the rest of Nigeria and the world.
