Trio formed by well-known South African artist, Sias Reinecke, and the German sisters Monika (brunette) and Angelika (blonde) Neuenfeldt, both members of the Günter Kallmann Choir that toured South Africa in 1969. Following the conclusion of a performance by the Günter Kallmann Choir in Bloemfontein, where Sias Reinecke appeared as the opening act, they met for coffee and expressed their desire to record as a trio, and this album was the result. Sias Reinecke (born 23 April 1940 in Johannesburg) started off his career as one half of the Afrikaans duo, Groep Twee, before going solo towards the middle 1970s. Some of his more popular hits as a solo artist were "Sproeitjies", "Die Seewind Bring Heimwee", "Klein Karoo" and "Wie Sal Kom Nagsê". He died of a heart attack on 18 Oktober 1982. Günter Kallmann, born in Berlin, Germany, founded the Günter Kallmann Choir in Cologne in 1961. Their first recording was the Elisabeth Serenade, which brought them worldwide success. The album was very popular in South Africa, and resulted in the choir touring the country several times during the 1960s and early 1970s. Angelika Neuenfeldt (later Illman) found chart success in South Africa performing as a duo with Billy Forrest (Geli & Billy), with “Do You Love Me” reaching #2 on the South African Top 20 in 1973, and “Hazy Hazy (Crazy Crazy)” going to #18 in 1974. This song is off the album “Meet The Trebleaires”, released in 1969. It's a cover of a German folk song that dates back to the early 1800s.
