With the foundations for ME Networks in place, a stable power source is highly recommended. Also, the auto-crafting from AE is almost a must to make things easier going forward.

I went for a (small) big reactor. And this is the list of blocks used:
22 Reactor Casing
1 Reactor Access Port
1 Reactor Controller
1 Reactor Power Tap
1 Reactor Control Rod

And for the ME Molecular Assembler Chamber:
20 ME Assembler Containment Wall
1 ME Pattern Provider
6 ME Heat Vent
