The famous and popular Volan event in Rift. I finally played it. Giant boss, lots of players, nice framerate hit - it's a pretty epic battle. I lost count of how many times I died. Not knowing the mechanics and going in blind can do that. But look at the loot. Almost 5000 planarite, 22 infinity stones, 10 crystallized insight, a shimmering puresource, and 2 whole glass beads. I did the event again the next day and not one death. It's not hard at all when you know what to expect (and it's not 9:30 PM and you're tired)
