DESCRIPTION
If you watched the unboxing and review of the LEMFO LEM6, you probably noticed toward the end that I dropped the watch module without the bands in water to show off the ability to submerge this watch without ruining it: https://youtu.be/1R9tiosqiqE?t=1811

Well that went fine and it looked like it survived with flying colors, except for one thing. There was a tiny leak due to a design flaw that allowed a small amount of water to seep in. It wasn’t noticeable at first, but over time, it corroded the inside of the watch and completely killed it. I only put it in water once, the time you see it here on video. I took it out and dried it out and didn’t turn it on again until I was going to check for firmware upgrades a couple of week later. That’s when I found out the water destroyed it.

In this Part 1 of a two part series, I’ll show you exactly what happened to the LEM6 (and can happen to the TenFifteen F3 — an identical watch to this one) and how you can easily fix it to make your watch waterproof again. DON’T PUT IT IN WATER UNTIL YOU WATCH THIS VIDEO!

In Part 2 the busted LEM6 will be taken apart so we can try and find where those antennas have gone that used to be in the non-removable bands of the Android watches.

This unanticipated Part 3 finishes the teardown of the LEM6 based in input from our viewers in the comments of Part 2. Sure enough, as they advised, the antennas are hidden in the actual body of the watch case itself. We find them and dig them out in this video. If you missed Part 2, you can catch it here:

Hi Mr Ticks, is it true that your LEM6 broke from dropping it in a glass of water. If so must of been through the sim card slot. Unless you left it there for a very long time and it seeped in from back cover. The antennas are built into the existing body with screen etc.. you had left over after complete tear down. The Chinese call them Radium carvings in the body of the watch LOL. Also you never tested any of the antennas in your F3 Review. GPS and WIFI, and 3g data testing would have been welcomed by viewers

The aerials are in the bezel. If you look at the PCB silk screen on the side that had the RF shielding plate you can see there are spring connectors labelled BT/GSM/WIFI. These mate with the corresponding pads around the display.

The flexi-PCB on the back of the OLED display is the display connector.

The GPS brick is a ceramic antenna, the actual GPS chip (poss. MT3333) is under the RF-shield plate.

The Samsung chip is almost certainly the RAM (LPDDR).

Interestingly the silkscreen noted an NFC connector.

I cannot comment on the weird PCB that had the 3 spring connectors on it, a better shot of it would be necessary to determine it's function.

Please provide some decent hi-res photos of both the PCBs so I can figure out what each part is.
