Freebord Luzern in: Pelos caminhos de Portugal

Two surfers... One from Switzerland and I from Hawaii took a trip to Portugal. We went for the search ... we found more then we could imagine! The waves were totally amazing! For sure the coolest thing about this surf trip besides the waves was, even on flat day's, with our Freebords we had plenty spots for Drop in! About: The waves in the beginning are in Sagres area (southern point of Portugal), The first sunny steep little spot was Calada beach road. It's 1 kilometer direct to the sea. A 15 minute drive from Ericeira. Calada is so fun with steep curves good pavement and a stair for fast accents, complete with perfect filming angles; the spot is an arena! so FUN! The next spot is Sagres on the way to those 15 foot Hawaiian smoking offshore pits that you see in the intro. It was 11 percent for 2 kilometers, fun but too windy to go fast. Next and last was the Pena National Palace, or "castle" run, super fun about 3.5 kilometers of endless turn combos, you just stand on your bord and the road keeps coming at you in all its smmoooth curvy slender beauty. You can do nothing on this road and it's still cool. The air is super fresh with the eucalyptus tree forest, it feels like a jungle ride on the big island. This place has big "Mana" or spirit you feel the energy so powerful... like almost nowhere i have ever been. hard to explain better then that, but you really feel every stone, every tree.
