Fräulein, pardon (Ich glaub’ wir kennen uns schon) [Pardon Me, Young Lady, I Think We Know Each Other Already] Tango (Will Meisel) – Homocord-Orchester (Fred Bird Tanz-Orchester) mit Refraingesang (Luigi Bernauer), Homocord 1928 (Germany) NOTE: This German tango was a big hit in Europe in the end of the 1920s. It was also released in the US – not as a tango but a slow-fox and its title changed into “Won’t You Give In” - yet with a moderate success. The Homocord-Orchester was one of various label names of Fred Bird’s dance orchestra. During the 1920s Bird held the position as musical director of the Homocord Records until it was taken over in 1932 by Carl Lindström’s phonograph syndicate
