Here's an up close look at the Bonavita Gooseneck Electric Kettle 1.0L BV3825B. I made this quick little video because there wasn't any videos showing the inside of this Bonavita kettle and most show the kettle in action. I really wanted to find a completely BPA free, plastic free electric gooseneck kettle for coffee pour over, and this is the closest I could find. I know Hario makes one but the electric Hario gooseneck kettle doesn't get the favorable reviews that their stovetop manual kettle receives. In looking back at my email from Bonavita, the representative said "There is a silicone piece in the spout base inside the kettle. Also, as you mentioned, part of the BPA free plastic handle is inside the kettle, but above the fill line." As for the rust complaints that some Amazon.com reviews mention, we'll see what happens as I use the Bonavita Gooseneck Electric Kettle BV3825B. It does say it's stainless steel and made in China. I also think the Hario gooseneck kettle gets favorable reviews because it's made in Japan. Whether or not the stainless steel from Japan is better... I am not sure.
