Hey folks, an unboxing here and while I was at it I did a full desk clean and re-routed all the cables etc. 'cable management' I call it. The G-Raid Studio is an 8tb raid drive that features 2 hot-swappable 4tb raid disks and a write speed of around 360mb per second. I like the look of the drive and as a stand alone unit it'll sit beside your Macbook pro and look all slick and sexy but it's not 'stackable like the older G-Raid units which are pretty awesome. Also, the black plastic shell resonates a little with the spinning drive and causes an annoying vibration 'hum' sound that comes and goes.
