3am Trance Creation

I was looping a small part of another recently completed track, over and over for about 30mins hoping for some form of creativity to kick in. Sometimes nothing comes of it, but this time something did... activated the trance pad and jammed to the repeating loop, recording everything. After a tidy up and applying a few filter effects this is the result. Lights off, head back, eyes shut and travel to another world |-} Enjoy ;-) Made using Reason 4.0 and a 25 note USB keyboard. Additional ingredients: 3am (most creative timeslot), a good fish dinner beforehand made by mum, and the tail-end of an intense emotional state lingering from the previous week.... Oh, and a dark chocolate mousse for dessert ;-D The picture is a 15 second f2.2 exposure of the trajectory of a compound double pendulum with a white LED attached to its end. Such a simple 2DoF system can exhibit chaos if given sufficient initial energy. I did this in code first, but building a real one and seeing it go crazy in the dark was way cooler ;-]]
