(October, 2006) Before I could build my outdoor fireplace, my back yard needed to be excavated and leveled out. So I had 4 truck loads of fill dirt brought in from a new sub division being built nearby and they were just giving the dirt away..
After spreading it and letting it settle for about 9 months, the area was ready to construct my outdoor fireplace.
