Many of the world’s biggest stars have battled addictions and compulsions for which they sought out help for. Here are some of the biggest celebrities who have checked into rehab in 2018.
Ben Affleck had his third rehab stint after an intervention staged by ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
With the assistance of a bodyguard and a professional from the treatment centre, Garner approached Ben, who was "not resistant and knew he needed help".
He has battled alcohol addiction for many years, was admitted to a rehab facility on August 22nd and completed a 40-day stay in rehab in October.
Demi Lovato stayed in rehab this year for three months after suffering an overdose in July.
The star reportedly overdosed on heroin at her home in Los Angeles but this was denied by her representatives where they confirmed it was other substances.
She went to rehab after nearly a two-week stay in the hospital where she coped with side effects including nausea and high fever.
This comes after she revealed she relapsed in her song ‘Sober’ and it was reported she fired her sobriety coach.
Meanwhile Demi’s former best friend and Barney and Friends co-star Selena Gomez has had her own issues.
Selena has had a tough few years and earlier this year she was reportedly hospitalized for a low white blood count, a complication that arised as a result of her kidney transplant.
In October she ultimately decided to get additional help for her depression and anxiety at an East Coast facility.
We just hope all they are getting the help they need.
