In this video, American teachers visited a Tanzania UNICEF-supported healthcare center and primary school to learn about the work UNICEF does for children around the world. At the healthcare center, mothers are provided with prenatal appointments, recordings of a baby’s weight and other services to prevent malnutrition in children. At the primary school, the focus is to train teachers and teach the kids about the importance of sanitation. The schools have a water pump to provide them with clean, safe drinking water and the students are growing their own food to get more nutrients to fight-off disease.
