'FORMER AFL CHAMP ALMOST LOSES FINGER' Paul Dimattina dislocated his ring finger during a game of competitive football some 2 weeks back. The former Western Bulldogs champ saw bone protruding and corrected the apparent break. But 8 days later the pain was so intense he rushed himself to Cabrini hospital and was on the operating table in under 2 hours. The Society Restaurant owner suffered a staph infection with Doc's informing Dimattina he was in danger of losing his finger... We caught up with him outside his Bourke st restaurant and got all the goss ...
