FABRICS USED:

Fabric A-ATV- 87205-Foxes in Fall
Fabric B- ATV-87210- 87210- Fall in Love Warm
Fabric C- ATV-87207- Autumn Nectar Honey
Fabric D-ATV-87201- Cozy Ditzy plum
Fabric E-ATV-87202- Simple Defoliage Gold
 
CUTTING INSTRUCTIONS:

One (1) 5 1/2" square from Fabric A
Two (2) 4 1/2" squares from Fabric B
Two (2) 6" squares from Fabric C
Three (3) 5" squares from Fabric D and E
Four (4) 2" squares from Fabric E
Four (4) 1 1/2" x 2 1/2" rectangles from Fabric E

BLOCK INSTRUCTIONS:

Take your 4 ½” squares from Fabric B and 6” squares from F and cut in half on the diagonal to make your triangle pieces. 

Take your 5 ½” fussy cut square and fold in half to create crease marks to find the center of each side of your square. Fold all your triangle pieces in half from Fabric B and line up your crease marks and pin into place. Sew two sets of triangles to each side of your square. 

Sew at ¼”, press your seams out and repeat this same process with your remaining two triangles. 
You should get a block that block that looks like this!

Now we are going to repeat this same process with our triangles from Fabric C, making our creases and lining up our triangles to the center of our piece. 

The center of our block is complete and it’s time to make a boat load of HSt’s using the 8 at a time method!  

Take a 5” square from Fabric D and E and on the wrong side of one of your squares two draw diagonal lines from corner to corner with a fabric marking pen. Place your squares right sides together and sew on each side of the lines you drew at ¼”.

To reveal 8 HST’s cut on both diagonals lines you drew. Then cut your piece in half vertically and horizontally. 

Repeat this two more time with your remaining 5” squares to get 24 hst’s ! 

Trim your Hst’s to 2”. 

To create your top and bottom row sew four sets of 3 hst’s together paying attention to the orientation of of your pieces! Sew a 1 ½” x 2” rectangle in between your Hst sets. 

Sew these rows to the top and bottom of your piece like this! 

To create the sides of your block sew four  sets of 3 Hst’s as follows and sew a 1 ½” x 2” rectangle in between, then sew a 2” square to the top and bottoms of your side rows. 

Sew your side pieces to your block and your Lehigh Maze Block is complete.
