Adam Bly, creator of SEED magazine, shares his views on how science has gotten away from the popular mainstream and the ways in which he is trying to bring it back. He's looking at new ideas, the most mind bending, thought provoking ideas coming out of the sciences that are exciting just because. He says science is driving our culture today, we need to be better informed, we need to make better decisions, we need to have stronger debates about these issues. He wants to present scientists as the new establishment, the new celebrity, innovators, forward thinkers and the people with the most interesting ideas. Science has never been so high in terms of public interest but only a small portion of adults feel well informed about it. So, Adam says, our pace, our interest in science is far outpacing our knowledge of science, far outpacing our ability to discuss science intelligently, it's far outpacing the level of debate around the world about these every important issues driving our culture and that is something Adam has set out to change.
