I am using a 10"x 20" canvas. All my acrylic paints are mixed with a pouring medium in advance contained in squeeze bottles. I begin this Swipe on a by using my squeeze bottles of colors to add many stripes in zig zags.I use a damp cotton rag and dip it into a color I added just to swipe with,and pull the rag over the painted stripes from one end to the other. After that, I use a bamboo skewer and a small hose to disturb the paint and reveal the colors buried below the surface. I create spirals by blowing patterns in the paint with more air through flexible tubing.
THERE IS NO SILICONE in this artwork's paint mix. I use ZERO silicon in the pre-mixed colors stored in squeeze bottles with no other cell-creating additive is included. Floetrol and Gac 800 (By Golden)are what I use as pouring mediums.

My regular "pouring" mixture -recipe, generally is 3/4 Floetrol with 1/4 (estimated) GAC800 from "Golden" (prevents cracking and adds shine to dry artwork.) Add paint to
double the volume (or a little less paint) or as needed to get the desired viscosity, mix thoroughly. Amounts always depend on the viscosity and color saturation of the acrylic paint used, so the amounts of color needed will vary. I like to begin with a half-pouring mixture and half color. After that is mixed thoroughly, I add more pouring mixture until the viscosity (thickness) is like warm hone. If I want it thinner, I add more Pouring mixture. If the color is not strong enough, I add more pigment. When mixing colors, my amounts are always estimated and then altered to get the right consistency I like. I use plastic squeeze bottles with measurements on the side. I add a marble into the bottle to aid in the mixing process. Marbles work well but exercise caution if you end up with more than one because they will shatter in the mixture eventually. It's imperative (Important) that all mixture be shaken thoroughly again before using in any session every time! The consistency is usually medium "body" weight, but other weights are usable with minor adjustments.
