This was my second hike after checking out the Green Knob lookout tower. Overall the views from the summit disappointed, but curiosity got the best of me. Little Table Rock Mountain is located in the 544 acre Little Table Rock Tract of the Pisgah Game Land. This is one of a few tracts donated by the Stanbacks. The 2.1-mile trail climbs 1,050 feet to the 4,080-foot summit. There is a small view on the north side looking into the North Toe River Valley of Avery County. You have a direct sight line of the Avery County Airport and surrounding quartz and kaolin mines. In the video I mistakenly called this the Mitchell County Airport. The tallest peak above the valley on the left is Big Bald, and in the distance are the high peaks of the Roan Highlands.

Hike was 4.2 miles with 1,417 feet elevation gain in 1 hour and 50 minutes.
