A top executive of China's Huawei Technologies, Meng Wanzhou is being detained in Canada. She is set to appear for her second bail hearing on Monday since the first hearing on Friday did not reach any decision. Canadian prosecution has argued that Meng is a "flight risk" and should be denied bail while Meng's lawyer has proposed an electronic ankle bracelet and strict surveillance if she gets bail. She was detained while traveling from Hong Kong to Mexico via Canada on December 5. The move was part of a U.S. investigation into an alleged scheme to use the global banking system to evade U.S. sanctions against Iran, however, the U.S. has failed to provide any evidence to prove its allegations. China has condemned the detention and demanded Canada to release Meng. #Huawei#CFO Subscribe to us on YouTube: https://goo.gl/lP12gA Download our APP on Apple Store (iOS): https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/cctvnews-app/id922456579?l=zh&ls=1&mt=8 Download our APP on Google Play (Android): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.imib.cctv Follow us on: Website: https://www.cgtn.com/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ChinaGlobalTVNetwork/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/cgtn/?hl=zh-cn Twitter: https://twitter.com/CGTNOfficial Pinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/CGTNOfficial/ Tumblr: http://cctvnews.tumblr.com/ Weibo: http://weibo.com/cctvnewsbeijing
