"My Pain Threshold Has Been Passed," Kline Protester

A group of angry protesters gathered outside the office of 2nd District Representative John Kline to demonstrate against the Congressmanapos;s vote to make large cuts in government spending, but doing little to create jobs. It was an angry but well behaved crowd. One said, "Iapos;m usually not a political person, but my pain threshold has just been passed, itapos;s completely unacceptable to me how the ruthlessness is the winner. Is that how we want to be as Americans?" Another, "Iapos;m re-fighting every single battle that we won in the 60s and the 70s." And, "We canapos;t give up!" This was one of many events organized by MoveOn.org at congressional offices across the country on this date. A small delegation had a short, unsatisfying meeting with Mr. Klineapos;s Burnsville staff in his office. "We will be back," promised one voter.
