I decided to change the background and ringer for my Cisco desk phone to that of the lovely "Induction" from the Arcade/Sega Saturn game Darius Gaiden. The track was composed and performed by the always excellent Taito, Inc. in-house band ZUNTATA. Credits for Music goes to ZUNTATA, a division of Taito, Inc. copyright 1994. The audio was originally sourced from the Redbook audio off the North American Sega Saturn CD-ROM game release, and was cut into a 20-second clip using Cisco's Phone Designer software to create ringtones for their 7900 series phones. What you're hearing is the phone itself playing back the created ringtone at a relatively low bitrate, though it sounds surprisingly good because the Cisco 7945G IP Phone has an amazingly clear speaker. PLEASE NOTE - I don't own copyrights or individual property rights to this material. I'm simply posting a playback of a short clip from the song to demonstrate what the Cisco 7945G IP Phone is capable of doing from a ringtone audio standpoint.
