Aliens have been discovered in Elite: Dangerous. After one year of searching, some nerd discovered what appears to be an undocumented lifeform in a game where you fly through black space and then trade for a while. This sounds like an excellent use of someone’s time. 

Of course that’s not true at all. And this isn’t a good use of anyone’s time. For one, it seems very likely the developers just added aliens in through a stealth patch. So you didn’t actually find aliens in Elite: Dangerous. You found a software update. Great stuff.

Secondly, it took a year to hunt them down. A YEAR! Do you know what can be achieved in a year? The answer is: a lot of stuff. You clearly haven’t realised this, so here’s The Miller Rapport to give you 7 things that would have been a better use of your time than spending 365 days trying to find an alien. Good grief…
