Geoff Keighley's Video Game Awards are what many in the video game industry consider the modern day equivalent in the entertainment industry to the Oscars.... But taking a deeper look at the show reveals a lot of deep rooted issues that persist regardless of how it is handled going forward.
Mixing in heavy marketing and information of upcoming games with award winners from the previous year confuses the point and at the end of the day feels like a cheap money grab.
Can it be fixed?
