U.S. Faults Anti-Drug Efforts

The U.S. president has determined that Bolivia's cooperation in combating illicit drugs has deteriorated in the past year. And so the Latin American country has been placed, along with Venezuela and Burma, on America's counter-narcotics blacklist. The State department's annual report says the three countries have "failed demonstrably" to meet their international commitments to combating the production and trafficking of illicit drugs.
