This is our first event and only our 2nd time xc as I didn't get more time to take him again! Not our best day - we reared towards the dressage arenas, he was scared of the white boards which didn't help! Then one refusal sj - completely my fault, it was downhill and I wasn't riding forwards enough. XC - erm, an experience! Two refusals at the sunken road and another at a brush fence where you couldn't see the landing - once he'd seen it he was fine, but the initial approach was rather scary! After that he flew round - and despite two refusals only added 13 time pens, so he has one heck of a gallop! Just a day for experience, I really enjoyed myself and we now have a lot to work on for our next one :)
