The German government has just appointed its youngest-ever economics minister,37-year-old Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg. He took over the post following the surprise resignation of Michael Glos. Both belong to the CSU,the Bavarian sister party of Chancellor Angela Merkels Christian Democrats (CDU). zu Guttenberg previously specialised in foreign affairs. Critics from within the CDU and the opposition have questioned whether he is up to the job. Against the backdrop of global economic meltdown,they say this is no time for a novice. We take a look at the controversy surrounding the new minister.
