It is in the Basilica in Panjim that the relics of St Francis lie. Once every ten years, the crystal casket containing the remains of St Francis (who is known here as Goencho Saib or Lord of Goa), travels across the road to the Se Cathedral where it remains for 44 days till 4 January for the faithful to come and seek blessings.
