JAMMU LINKS NEWS | The election to the post of President and Vice President of Municipal Committee (MC) Kargil was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Vikas Kundal here today.

Zaheer Hussain who had contested as an independent (IND) candidate was elected President of the committee while as independent (IND) candidate Gulzar Hussain was elected as the vice-president by the margin of 1 vote in each case.

Zaheer got 7 votes out of 13 and defeated Indian National Congress (INC) candidate Advocate Khadim Hussain while as Gulzar also got 7 votes out of 13 by defeating Mohammad Ali, an INC candidate.

The election process to this effect was held at the Conference Hall of Tourist Facilitation Center (TFC) Kargil.
