After the death of Dr. Robotnik and the Death Egg, Metal Sonic returns and has a plan to bring back the good Dr. by using some alien technology. It's now up to Sonic & Friends once again to collect all the Chaos Emeralds and Time Stones to put an end to the evil plan Metal Sonic has started.
