Germany celebrates its 60th birthday this year and DW-TV looks back at the country's early days. This week we're revisiting the 1950s,when Berlin was in the midst of an acute housing crisis,which needed solving - and fast. But city planners in both East and West Berlin weren't satisfied with just finding a quick fix.
