Here’s the official part of this video:
“The Punk Museum Presents Venice Beach Memories 1971 a film by Bill Alsup and Patrick Jordan. Music by Tequila and Raelsey. Video by Roger Cornwall.”

….and now for the unofficial part of this video:
Having lived near Venice Beach as a kid and a regular visitor since, ‘Venice Beach Memories 1972’ has been a personal favorite and it is a very accurate piece of V. B. history. However, I can’t say much about the music used in the original film; for me, it felt out of step. Therefore, I substituted the original soundtrack with the music of Ted Hawkins and Barry ‘The Lion’ Gordon, two former Venice Beach performers.

The track listing are as follows:
Feelin’ Groovy (59th Street Bridge Song) performed by Ted Hawkins
Having A Party performed by Ted Hawkins
Venice Beach Strut written and performed by Barry ‘The Lion’ Gordon
I Got What I Wanted by performed Ted Hawkins
Santa Monica Strut written and performed by Barry ‘The Lion’ Gordon
Sidewalk Strut written and performed by Barry ‘The Lion’ Gordon
There Stands A Glass (live) performed by Ted Hawkins

If this video has failed in any way, it’s my fault, thanks to my anal retentive ears. Needless to say, my apologies to the film makers and especially to Tequila & Raelsey. They are the ones who own this film and should be thanked for filming this short and releasing this to the world ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4uFV4Xw09Fw ). I don’t even own the music. I’m just the anal retentive fanboy getting this habit out of my system and is pushing his copyrighted luck.

BTW: Ted Hawkins is no longer with us, but Barry ‘The Lion’ Gordon is still around, playing the ivories and teaching a new generation with wonders of stride piano…..and he’s on FaceBook.

Sorry again and thanks
