Last Tuesday, Metro Council passed a resolution to continue the city's involvement in the an equitable sharing program. The program allows Metro Police to keep the proceeds from assets seized from individuals suspected of criminal activity. But should Nashville be involved in Civil Asset Forfeiture? Ben Hall sits down with one of the sponsors of the resolution, Metro Councilwoman Tanaka Vercher of the 28th District, and Metro Police Captain Michael Alexander to discuss why this program is needed.
