I ended up filling in the remaining "ribs" of the Benchmade Bone Collector with J-B Weld and sanded the epoxy flush with the crests of the ribs and now have a smooth, pocket friendly knife that also feels nice in the hand!  This is my first real knife mod and I am happy with the results. :)
