Former US President Barack Obama's Nelson Mandela lecture has ignited debate around both his own and the late struggle icon's legacies. Obama addressed thousands at Johannesburg's Wanderers cricket stadium yesterday. He has called for the world to embrace Mandela's vision of freedom and democracy, guided by what the former statesman calls 'inclusive capitalism'. But he also did not shy away from weighing in on American politics, subtly criticising his successor Donald Trump's policies on immigration policy and climate change.
