About This Talk The state of Georgia gets enough sunshine to have the third highest solar-power output of any state in the nation. Jessica Moore points out that her home state's actual solar output is far lower than it could be — and she explains how she plans to change that. About This Speaker Moore is founder and chief executive officer America's Energy Future and former executive director of the Georgia Solar Energy Association. Moore has pushed the Georgia legislature hard for greater investment in solar power, arguing that Georgia could lead the solar industry in the Southeast and potentially the U.S. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
