The West Bank Barrier cuts off East Jerusalem and its surrounding areas from the rest of the West Bank, obstructing access to health and education services for thousands of Jerusalem residents and separating them from their families. If completed, the Barrier will trap tens of thousands of Palestinians between the Barrier and the Green Line. Yet 14-year-old Shahd still sees a glimmer of hope through the Barrier.
