The Eastern Parternship is the European Union's new strategy for relations with countries that border on the east of EU member states, such as Moldova, Russia, Ukraine, Georgia and Belarus. After a formal heads of state meeting in Prague last month, the partnership was launched officially on Friday at a conference in Brussels.
