In Bavaria, the Social Democrats had always had an uphill battle against the conservative Christian Social Union, the CDU's sister party. At the end of the month, Bavaria is set to elect a new state legislature. What do rank-and-file SPD members think about their two new leaders? Is this a new start? Or will the wings of the party battle more than ever now? In Feldkirchen, south of Munich, we spoke with the party rank-and-file. Veteran Bavarian SPD politician Ludwig Stiegler was also there.
