We rely on our phone so much that we used to remember all the telephone numbers of our friends, but now we can't remember our best friend's number!
But what if your offline brain is dead? what if you don't have wifi?

Jason S Polley completed his PhD in English Literature, specializing in 20th-century Irish fiction and postmodern American fiction and culture. Before joining HKBU in 2007, he lived in and taught at universities in Bogota, Colombia, and Guayaquil, Ecuador. He enjoys traveling and has spent considerable time in India, where he completed a yoga teacher-training course, the Philippines, where he qualified as a rescue scuba-diver, and Indonesia, where he's dived with scores of reef sharks and manta rays. He also enjoys skateboarding at Hong Kong's numerous skateparks and hiking Hong Kong's innumerable mountain trails. His scholarly work includes articles on women and property in John Banville, critical race theory in Jane Smiley, and suburban ideology in Neill Blomkamp. His monograph examines what he calls 'everyday justice' in contemporary American literature.
