The Hindu festival of light, Deepavali or Diwali, signifies light over darkness celebrating the triumph of good over evil. It is celebrated as one of the major cultural festivals in Singapore, with a 1-day public holiday which falls on the 6th of Nov this year in 2018. However, festive atmosphere has already started about a month ago. To experience the festivity of Diwali, where else better to be at than the Little India of Singapore?
