Two turkey poults hatched on one of the busiest days right before the fair. There are still lots of eggs left on the nest that need to be saved, but first we need to take Miley to the 4h pet show. Once back, we need to round up projects, warm up the incubator, candle the eggs, practice showing the pig, make final choices on which chickens to take... as we say, never a dull moment on the homestead! Several years ago our family moved back to a small homestead that's been in our family for many years. Our goal is to become as self sufficient as possible and get back to a simpler lifestyle.
