Why Marbles?

Marbles in the water dish? Why would you do that? Well, when a baby chick is very little they are also very wobbly. They don't always have good balance and can sometimes fall and not get up. Even a very shallow water dish can be enough for them to drown. We use marbles to help prevent this from happening.
