I got a lot of questions about the new event and in all honesty it makes perfect since that we missed some stuff. After all, if you have been playing the game then you missed the information posted outside of the game on Discord, Facebook, or Twitter. If you haven’t kept up on all three you might have missed some of the details for the Drake Slayer Event. So, I wanted to go ahead and cover it with you today including teams.

At first glance, the event looks great. Everyone can participate, there are great daily rewards, milestones are good for the entire player base, and the shop has great rewards available for everyone’s level. The event also has drop rates publicly posted so you can even focus your time where you want to get the most out of the event. As a side note, this is a direction I really hope Dungeon Hunter Champions continues improve on so this is my obligatory positive reinforcement to keep going.

Now, Dungeon Hunter Champions and their New Year’s Drake Slayer Event is exactly what it sounds like. You kill the Elder Drake and get special rewards. The higher the raid of Elder Drake the higher the rewards. Some important details though:

*You get points just for completing the levels and as you can see the levels have been tiered into groups of two. This gives a real reason to drive after the next level.

*Milestones for total accumulated points means if you can beat Elder Drake 1 or 2 at least 100 times before January 10th you can get all the milestone rewards. Totally doable for 99% of the player base.

*Unlike previous events each run has a chance to give you a special currency for the shop called Dragon bones AND the rates are posted by dungeons. Currently I think a pre-flight Elder Drake 11 team looks to be the very best option. If you have one, or know of one, drop it in the comments below. For most of us mid-game though this means a pre-flight Elder Drake 10 team.

*Shop items are amazing given the availability of this event to everyone. I don’t know anyone who isn’t stoked about these changes to the shop.

*Finally, there is an event ranking at the end players can strive for and this is great for the Uber-competitive top end players out there who want more.
