On Wednesday, September 27 we gathered to ensure Sergeant Paul Tuozzolo is never forgotten. Purdy Street, from Metropolitan Avenue to St. Raymond Avenue, in the Bronx was named “Sgt. Paul J. Tuozzolo Way.”
There are three schools on this street that will allow NYC’s youngest community members to honor and learn about Sergeant Tuozzolo’s sacrifice. Sergeant Tuozzolo was the schools sergeant in the 43 Precinct until he was killed in the line of duty on November 4, 2016.
