(15 Nov 2018) MICHAEL PENA REMEMBERS STAN LEE'S 'INFECTIOUS' ENERGY "Ant-Man" actor Michael Pena remembered Stan Lee's "infectious" energy two days after the Marvel comics legend died at age 95. Pena got to play twice in the comic-movie world Stan Lee helped to create -- appearing alongside Paul Rudd in 2015's "Ant-Man" and its sequel, released this summer. "I remember him like after the first 'Ant-Man' premiere, he was like, 'You did great, kid.' That meant the world to me," Pena said Wednesday (14 NOV. 2018). "Obviously he's iconic but he still had that energy, kind of like a go-getter in life, which I think a lot of people just fell in love with. It was very infectious. And he's like -- the way he was -- he's going to be definitely a figure that's going to be missed." Pena spoke while promoting his lead role in the Netflix series "Narcos: Mexico," about the drug war in Mexico, which is hitting the streaming service on Friday (16 NOVEMBER) As the top writer at Marvel Comics and later as its publisher, Lee was widely considered the architect of the contemporary comic book. He revived the industry in the 1960s by offering the costumes and action craved by younger readers while insisting on sophisticated plots, college-level dialogue, satire, science fiction, even philosophy.
